Mastercrafter Competition:

We will be running 2 Mastercrafter competitions alongside the tournament. To enter the mastercrafter competition you must purchase a ticket for the event, however you are not required to play in the event. The models entered into the competitions do not have to be the models used in the tournament. The Mastercrafter competitions will adhere to DGS Contest Rules ( with the exception there will only be one level of competition.

Single Miniature competition: Any individual DGS model, no size restriction. The model does not have to adhere to game playability restrictions in regards to basing. The model can be a display only model based in a small diorama and/or plinth. Any model may be entered even if the model was part of a previous winning display board/freeband contest before. The model may not be entered however if it has won any previous individual model competitions before (including non-mastercrafter competitions).

Freeband: The freeband must be a playable freeband at the 275 gold level. Freebands that have previously won mastercrafter coins in any group (Novice, Adept, Master) at any level (Bronze, Silver, Gold) will not be considered for the competition. While display boards can be super cool and really well done, they will not impact the Freeband’s merit in the competition.

Each category will award a Gold/Silver/Bronze Mastercrafter coin, along with 15% of the prize support to each Gold Winner.

Tournament Specifics

Scenarios: At the beginning of each round, the Scenario will be randomly determined from the Standard Scenario Table (pg 112 LRB). The same scenario will not be used twice.

Weather: At the beginning of each round, the TO will roll on the Weather table. This result will be in place for all tables during the specific round. Remember that criting your initiative roll allows a player to increase or decrease the weather by one level per crit.

Tournament Points: 0 for loss, 500 for tie, 1000 for win by break, 1005 for win by objective. The player with the most tournament points at the end of the tournament will be declared the Tournament Winner. If there is a tie, we will adhere to DGS tournament rules for tie breakers.

Challenge Coins: Each player that holds a challenge coin from a previous tournament is granted one destiny stone that is able to be used once during the whole tournament. The player with the most coins present will be awarded 2 destiny stones. If there is a tie for the most coins, then each player will only gain one destiny stone for the tournament. The player must have their physical coin on their person to qualify for the destiny stone(s).
